General introduction - hand to hand

Mano a mano, or Hand to hand is a world improvement association that was formed in 2002. The operation of our association is based on trusted, personal contacts in towns and villages where we have targeted our help. The idea is to focus on places that public development aid and other forms of assistance do not currently reach. We are a politically and religiously independent association.

The main goals of Mano a mano are:

• to improve the status of children and education
• to improve the status of women and equality
• to encourage responsible and humane thinking

Our aid is currently aimed primarily to Nepal. Membership fees and donations from our members are the main sources of income. The annual membership fee is 30 €, for students15 €.

Mano a mano is a highly efficient charity. The administrative and fundraising
expenses are very low: 90 cents out of each donated euro is used for program
services. We are proud of that.
